What is CARB2?
CARB2 (California Air Resources Board Phase 2) is the US standard for formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products. It is required for cabinets sold in California and increasingly expected across all US states.
All Pfleiderer and Egger composite wood boards used by LignoSupply meet CARB2 requirements. The certification documentation is included with every shipment, formatted for US customs entry.
European standards vs CARB2
European E1 formaldehyde standards are comparable to CARB2. European E0 is stricter than both. LignoSupply can specify E0 boards on request for projects requiring the lowest possible formaldehyde emissions.
"CARB2 documentation came with the shipment. US customs clearance was straightforward — no holds, no delays."
